A young man in Lahore who allegedly raped 12-year-old minor neighbour was arrested and samples from survivor sent for DNA test
LAHORE: A young man allegedly raped his minor neighbour late Sunday here in the city'sChina Scheme Gujjar Pura area, police said, adding that the sexual predator has been arrested.
Police said a first information report (FIR) has been registered against the 15-year-old alleged rapist for sexually assaulting the12-year-old girl. An investigation has also been commenced, they added.
Samples obtained from the girl have been sent for a DNA test, police noted, adding that further action would be taken once the forensic report is released.
On the other hand, neighbours of the survivor claimed that the alleged rapist's mother told them she did not hear the girl's screams because she was using hands-free earphones.
