Militants holding Pakistan, Afghanistan hostage: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani said Saturday that militants were keeping Pakistan and Afghanistan hostage, Geo News reported. Prime Minister Gilani made this remark during a joint press conference with Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

The Afghan President said that both countries needed to work together to eliminate militants from the border areas and called on Pakistan to eliminate militant sanctuaries.

Prime Minister Gilani reiterated that a stable and prosperous Afghanistan was in the interest of Pakistan and that Islamabad was willing to provide Kabul with support in this regard.
