President orders PPP to get Punjab budget approved

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Wednesday directed the members of Pakistan People’s Party in Punjab Assembly to extend their support for having Punjab budget approved, Geo News reported.

According to PPP sources, the President not ordered the Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz to get the Punjab budget for 2011-12 approved but also have the finance bill and provisional budget passed.

The directives were issued so that ‘there is no crisis like situation or any kind of instability in the province and the democratic process continues smoothly’.
