QUETTA: The driver of an oil tanker carrying fuel for NATO forces in Afghanistan was killed in firing on the vehicle in suburb of the provincial capital on Friday.

"Unknown armed men riding bikes opened fire at NATO oil tanker in Nakehla area on Western Bypass, resulting in killing of the driver", police said.

The dead was identified as Mero Khan who was resident of Labor Colony Quetta. The attackers managed to flee.

The police have registered a case against unidentified suspects. Further investigation is underway. (APP)
