KARACHI: The judge of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) admitting a Challan in the case of Sarfaraz Shah’s killing by Rangers personnel referred it to ATC number 1 for holding a full-fledged hearing of the case, Geo News reported Saturday.
Public Prosecutor, Irshad Iqbal Cheema today submitted the Challan before the ATC of justice Maqbool Baqir who referred the case to ATC number 1. The Challan includes statements of 46 witnesses, two of them eye witnesses.
Later, talking to the media men the Public Prosecutor said the police have gathered fourteen pieces of solid evidence in connection with the case including a government weapon, blood-soaked clothes of Sarfaraz Shah and a cell phone of Rangers.
The State Television verified the footage of the incident and found it unedited and authentic.
He said all the six rangers have right to appoint a lawyer to defend themselves.
