KARACHI: The trade activities at Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) kept see-sawing throughout this week and the 100-share Index closed 16 points down to 12,361 at weekend, Geo News reported Saturday.

This week’s business at KSE started with positive numbers and during one of the sessions the Index was seen gaining 400 points. However, selling in energy stocks did not allow the rising trend to sustain the gains and the Index slipped 16 points to close at the current level.

The average trade volume stood at 53 million shares which is 53 percent less compared to last week.

The right shares of Soneri Bank led the list of shares in terms of volume.

On the other hand KSE-30 Index fell by 129 points to finish the day at 11,769.

The market analysts are of the view that the trade sessions in the coming week might also witness fluctuations.
