ISLAMABAD: Many cities across country remained in the grip of warm weather however rain in some parts including the federal capital and Kashmir turned weather pleasant, Geo News reported.

Heavy rain with winds damaged many houses in Vihari and Sargodha whereas fifteen electricity feeders were also tripped causing seven-hour power failure in many areas.

Areas surrounding Azad Kashmir received rain with thunderstorm and lightening that brought relief to the people. Due to rain, lower areas got submerged in the rainwater.

Federal capital, Islamabad, along with other areas of Punjab also received heavy shower with lightening whereas Chichawatni and Mandi Bahauddin received light rain, turning weather refreshing.

Sindh and Balochistan are still in the grip of hot weather. The highest temperature of 49 degree Celsius was recorded in District Turbat of Balochistan on Sunday.

According to met department, majority of the areas will remain in the grip of hot n dry weather whereas Lahore, Bahawalpur and some areas of Kashmir are likely to receive rain with thunderstorm in the next 24-hours.
