Notification for devolution of ministries issued

ISLAMABAD: The notification for the devolution of seven ministries, under the 18th Constitutional Amendment, has been issued here, Geo News reported on Thursday.

Interestingly out of 178 departments of such ministries only 47 have been transferred to the provinces. A department of sports ministry is also among the departments that remain to the centre.

According to the notification, offices, vehicles, its belongings, development projects and the staff would be provided to the provinces but provision of funds and technical stuff is not mentioned in it.

The devolution notification received by ‘Geo’ dated June 29 but the said ministries would continue their work till June 30, 2011.
