Call to take notice of aerial firing

QUETTA: The citizens here on Wednesday called for taking immediate notice of increasing incidents of aerial firing in the various localities of the city.

In a statement issued here, the residents of Haji Ghaibi Road, Siki Road and Faqir Mohammad Road including Abdul Ghafar, Safiullah and Mohammad Naeem said that due to the aerial firing many untoward incidents have taken place.

"In the summer season, due to the loadshedding and other reasons people opt to sleep at their rooftops," they said adding the aerial firing has claimed many lives in the recent past.

They urged the police to take stern action against those who violate the law and resort to aerial firings during the marriage and other ceremonies.
