ISLAMABAD: International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has clarified that no ineligible student was studying in any academic programme in the university.
Clarifying a news item appeared in a section of the press accusing university of giving admission to ineligible candidates in Ph.D, Director Academics, Shagufta Haroon said the university has a policy to accept result awaited candidates on provisional basis their admissions are confirmed subject to meeting the prescribed requirements.
Some candidates were given admission in Ph.D on this ground, however, they failed to meet the required qualification and the university canceled their provisional admission forthwith in accordance with procedures, rule and regulations and they were declared ineligible to pursue their studies at the university at all.
Shagufta Haroon said that the university always tries abide by criterion laid by the Academic Council of the university for admissions.
