KARACHI: Rangers have taken control of the Kati Pahari area and have started the rescue operation to move affected families to the safe areas, Geo News reported Saturday.

Targeted operation was conducted by the Rangers in the areas of Orangi Town, Qasba Colony, Kati Pahari and later rescued the trapped people through ambulances.

The residents migrating towards the peaceful areas said that continuous firing is happening for the past five days and people are confined to their houses. Due to firing, residents of the affected areas are facing shortage of food items.

They also complained that police did not come to help despite continuous firing in the area.
