FAISALABAD: Five people, including a youth, were killed in different accidents in and around the city during last 24 hours.

According to police, a speeding van hit Shamim Bibi of Chak No.229-RB at Jaranwala Road when she was crossing the road.

As a result, she died on the spot.

In another accident, a truck crushed to death Shah Zaib (14) of Mohallah Ghufran Town while 24-year-old Ramzan of Chak No78-RB was killed when his motorcycle slipped due to speeding on Lahore Road.

Separately, a cycle collided with a two-wheeler on Khurarianwala-Jaranwala Road. As a result, motorcyclists Adeel Ashraf and Nisar of Mohallah Rasool Pura fell down on the road and a speedy oil tanker coming from rear crushed them to death.
