11 new police stations approved in Punjab

LAHORE: Inspector General of Police Punjab Javed Iqbal has given approval of setting up 11 new police stations in the province.

Work on three new police stations in Multan district is likely to start shortly.

According to a notification, three police stations in district Lahore, Nawab Town, Mustafa Town and Sundar will be established. Similarly, police stations in Housing Colony in district Sheikhpura, Sialkot airport in district Sialkot, Sadar Wah Cantt in district Rawalpindi, Satellite Town in district Jhang, Chidru in Musa Khail (district Mianwali), Raja Ram in Shujabad (district Multan) and two police stations in (DG Khan District) Gadai and Taunsa Sharif will be set up.

Moreover, after the approval of the IGP, three new police stations, Shah Rukan-e-Alam, Baha-ud-din Zikeria and Shah Shams will be established in district Multan.
