MOSCOW: Five people died and four were seriously injured Monday when an Antonov-24 plane made an emergency landing on the River Ob in Siberia, Russian officials said.

The plane from Angara airline, carrying 33 passengers, made an emergency landing on the river apparently after an engine caught fire, the investigative committee said in a statement.
