Car prices decrease

KARACHI: After a decrease in the federal excise duty and sales tax, car prices fell by Rs 10,000-40,000, Geo News reported.

Speaking to Geo News the Chairman of the Motor Dealers association H.M. Shahzad said that car prices declined following the 1% decrease in sales tax and 2.5% drop in federal excise duty. He attributed the decrease in car prices to the decline in government taxes and added that the reduction was not made by car manufacturers on their own.

Prices of different models of Suzuki have decreased by Rs 14,000-37,000, Honda by Rs 25,000-40,000 while those of Indus motors have dropped by Rs 24,000-40,000.
