KARACHI: The provincial members of MQM protested in the Sindh Assembly session on not being allotted with the opposition seats, Geo News reported Wednesday.

Sindh Assembly session started here on Wednesday with Shehla Raza as the acting speaker of the assembly. Fatiha was offered for the victims of target killings in Karachi.

As the MQM members entered the assembly, they demanded for the opposition seats.

The acting speaker said as the resignations of MQM members are not yet accepted by the Sindh government, therefore, oppositions seats cannot be allotted to the MQM members.

Faisal Sabzwari, however, insisted on his demand and said that their resignations should be treated as accepted and based on that the assembly members of MQM should be granted opposition seats.
