Three arrested for allegedly strangling teen daughter-in-law six months after wedding

GUJRANWALA: A family on Tuesday strangled their young daughter-in-law to death with bare hands here in Muslim Town of the city's Rahwali area, police said.

According to the police, three individuals — including the deceased 18-year-old woman's husband — were arrested and a probe into the matter commenced. The teen and Zeeshan were married six months ago, they added.

Police further explained that the couple used to fight often and that the late woman's parents have alleged that Zeeshan, the husband, used to beat their daughter a lot.
