LAHORE: The electricity shortfall in the country is currently 5,169 MW which has led to an increase in the hours of loadshedding, Geo News reported.
According to PEPCO spokesman, electricity demand in the country is 17,978 MW while supply is 12,809. Despite the shortfall, KESC is being supplied 720 MW.
Unannounced loadhsedding continued across the country which has made life miserable. In cities, residents are facing 12-14 hours of loadshedding while in rural areas 18 hours of loadshedding is taking place.
