QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani on Saturday expressed his dissatisfaction over the increasing number of polio cases in Balochistan.

There is dire need for taking measures to remove the flaws in the anti polio campaigns as desired results are not being met during the polio vaccination campaign launched in the province, he said this after inaugurating anti-polio vaccination campaign at CM secretariat here.

He administered anti-polio drops to a child to inaugurate the campaign being launched in collaboration with UNICEF. Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Asim Kurd Gailu, Focal person on PM task force against polio Dr Masood Khan Jogezai, Secretary Health Asmat Kakar and representatives of UNICEF were also present on the occasion.

Chief Minister on the occasion urged the health department authorities to ensure that health teams reach every rural and urban areas of the province and no child is left without being vaccinated anti polio drops.

Terming polio a menace, he urged ulema, teachers and parents to cooperate with the health teams visiting their localities and make sure that their children are administered anti polio vaccines.

Chief Minister Balochistan was also informed about the teams constituted for administering polio vaccination starting from July 18across the province.
