75 booked on water theft charges

FAISALABAD: As many as 75 farmers were booked on charge of stealing water from canals in various parts of the district.

According to police, Millat Town police registered cases against 35 growers including Zaheer-ud-Din, Aslam and Sana Ullah etc. while Sadar Sammundri police booked 30 farmers on charge of tampering with official water channels and stealing irrigation water in Chak No.465-GB and started investigation.
