IGP distributes awards among raid team

KARACHI: Inspector General Police (IGP) Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani distributed on Wednesday certificates and cash awards at his office here Wednesday among members of a raid party of Ibrahim Haideri police Station that had recovered 80kh hashish in a successful operation.

The team headed by DSP Nayar Hasnain and SHO Zafar Iqbal Sunday raided Khaskheli Goth and recovered 80kg of hashish from a drug den.

IG Sindh appreciated the police team and asked them to continue best efforts against lawbreakers.

Separately, a delegation of Jamiatul Uloomul Islami led by Qari Muhammad Iqbal called on the IGP Sindh and demanded that religious scholars may be provided security.

The IGP assured the delegation that their problems would be resolved soon.
