KARACHI: Vote count is underway after the conclusion of polling on two Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly seats in the city, Geo News reported.
According to unofficial reports, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is in lead by bagging majority of votes for LA-30 Jammu and LA-36 Kashmir Valley-I.
Pakistan People’s party had withdrew its candidates in MQM’s favor which left latter contesting with Pakistan Muslim League-N and independent candidates.
No report of any unpleasant incident was received during the polls which were amid under strict security.
Both the candidates of MQM Tahir Khokhar and Salim Butt are leading in the polls.
The vote count is still underway and the Azad Kashmir Election Commission will announce the official results later.
