Pillion riding banned in Karachi

KARACHI: The Sindh home department imposed an indefinite ban on pillion riding in the city, which saw a flare-up in violence on Sunday, Geo News reported.

The home department issued a notification on Sunday night banning pillion riding for an indefinite period from Monday 12:00 am. Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Waseem Ahmed said that the ban has been imposed due to deteriorating law and order situation in the metropolis.

According to the notification, senior citizens, women, children and journalists will be exempt from the ban.
