Seven 'Sasta Ramazan Bazaars' planned for city

RAWALPINDI: The city district government Rawalpindi has finalized programme to establish seven 'Sasta Ramazan Bazaars' to provide all food items at subsidized rates to the people during the holy month of Ramazan.

Spokesman city district government said arrangements in this regard are being finalized and all out efforts would be made to provide relief to the citizens particularly during the holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarik.

He said, Ramazan Sasta Bazaars would be set up at Shamsabad, Committee Chowk, Chungi No 22, Haidri Chowk, Asghar Mall, Dhoke Kala Khan and near Kohinoor Mill at Peshawar Road. The citizens can purchase all food items including flour, sugar, pulses, meat, chicken, onion, potatoes and 'ghee' at subsidized rates.

Fresh vegetables, fruits and dates would also be available in these bazaars. He informed that special price control magistrates would be appointed in each bazaar to keep check on the prices and quality of the food items.

All possible facilities for the convenience of the citizens would be provided there. Price magistrates would not only check the rates in 'Ramazan Bazaars' but also in the open market particularly during Ramazan.
