Ch. Abdul Majeed named AJK LA leader of the house

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly (LA) will elect the prime minister today, while Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has nominated Chaudhry Abdul Majeed for the new leader of the house.

Following the election of the speaker and deputy speaker in the assembly yesterday, the session was adjourned until 12.00 noon today.

Nomination papers for the election of the leader of the house are being submitted since morning today, while the final list of the candidates for leader of the house will be announced before Tuesday session of the assembly.

The members of the assembly will elect the new leader of the house by balloting.
