Atiqa Odho expresses solidarity with Sarmad Khoosat after 'Zindagi Tamasha' faces ban

Film and TV star Atiqa Odho on Tuesday voiced support for Sarmad Khoosat after his film Zindagi Tamasha was banned from release by the state's censor authorities.

The veteran TV actor took to Instagram to show solidarity with the filmmaker.

Sharing a picture of Sarmad, Odho wrote, "film Art under threat and we should not sit back and allow this to happen... #istandwithsarmadkhoosat #zindagitamasha sarmadkhoosat,"

Hours after the censor boards in Sindh and Punjab banned the film, prime minister's information advisor Firdous Ashiq Awan said the central censor board has decided to approach the Council of Islamic Ideology for a critical review of Sarmad Khoosat's directorial Zindagi Tamasha.
