HYDERABAD: Inspector General of Sindh Waji Durrani Wednesday said efforts were being made to resolve the ongoing law and order situation in Karachi and that the weapons being used here were Israel made, Geo News reported.

Addressing police Darbar and talking to media here, the IG said that teams comprising members of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Awami National Party (ANP) will visit the troubled parts of the city and restore peace.

He said the weapons recovered from Karachi also include Israel-made arms but added that the list of African elements involved in target killing and gang war in Karachi had not been made available to him.

Wajid Durrani on the occasion dispelled the impression that he had any differences with the Sindh Home Minister. “He is the supreme commander of the force and the police officials will be inducted jointly,” the IG said.
