Govt. taking steps to promote agriculture sector

MULTAN: The Punjab government will distribute 175,000 packets of vegetable seeds for promotion of kitchen gardening across the province.

Addressing a seminar in Shujaabad, Muhammad IshaqLashari, assistant director information agri department said the Punjab government was paying special focus on the promotion of agriculture sector as it was backbone of the country's economy.

He said huge quantity of vegetables could be produced by promoting kitchen gardening.

He further informed that cattle-farmers were also being offered loans to enhance milk and meat production. (APP)
