Fishers stage demos in Sindh

KARACHI: Hundreds of fishers took to streets in small towns and villages of Sindh on Saturday to protest against ‘brutalities of sea lords, land mafia’. The major rallies were taken out in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur where a large number of people participated.

In Karachi, PFF rally started from Sindh Assembly building and culminated outside Karachi Press Club.

The leaders addressing the participants warned the government to behave with the law abiding fishers of the country like their citizens and stop land mafia people, who are on rampage killing and kidnapping the people, who raise voice against their atrocities and destruction of mangroves forests.
