Fire erupts at Iqbal road shops: Rescue 1122

RAWALPINDI: A fire erupted at Iqbal Road Committee Chowk shops and goods worth million were gutted, Rescue 1122 official said on Sunday.

He said Rescue 1122 had received an information that a fire had erupted at Iqbal Road Committee Chowk and 27 shops were in the range of fire.

Due to the timely operation of Rescue 1122, 22 shops were saved from damage while 3 shops were partially damaged.

Rescue officail told that 2 shops were completely gutted.

It may be mentioned that shops of perfumes and books were badly affected and caused loss of worth 1 million.

Rescue 1122 official added that 8 vehicles took part in the operation to douse the fire that erupted due to short circuit.
