LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Ahmad Raza Tahir has said that more than 8000 police officials would perform special security duties at different points of the city during the holy month of Ramazan.
Some 160 mobile squads will also perform patrolling at all worship and important public places to avoid any untoward incident during the holy month.
He directed the Divisional SPs to ensure effective patrolling during the holy month and depute additional force in uniform and in plainclothes outside all Masajids, religious congregations, commercial centers and other crowded places.
He also directed the traffic police to ensure smooth flow of traffic specially at the time of Iftari.
The CCPO directed for taking special security measures during the prayer timings and Traveh.
