DPSC students grab top position in SSC exams

FAISALABAD: The students of Divisional Public School and College (DPSC) grabbed two of the first three positions in the Annual Matriculation/SSC Examinations 2011 held under the aegis of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE).

According to the Matric result announced in a formal ceremony organized in Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium of Faisalabad Arts Council (FAC) here on Tuesday, Muhammad Umar Javaid of DPSC roll number 707829 and Anam Khaliq daughter roll number 704305 shared first position by bagging 1019 marks each.

Abiha Rae roll number 718196 of AW Grammar School Jaranwala and Ghamza Farooq of DPSC were declared second and third with 1016 and 1015 marks, respectively.

Giving details, BISE Control Examination said that in science group (boys), Muhammad Umar Javaid got first position while Asama Hasan of Govt High School Jhang City and Muhammad Hatib Zia of Jinnah Public School Toba Tek Singh shared second position with 1013 marks each. Similarly, third position of this group was grabbed by Abdur Rehman of Chenab College Jhang with 1011 marks.

In science group (girls), Anam Khaliq of DPSC and Abiha Rae of AW Grammar High School Jaranwala stood first and second respectively where Ghamza Farooq of DSPC bagged third position. In general group (boys), Muhammad Azeem of Super Radiant Way Boys High School Faisalabad stood first with 890 marks whereas Muhammad Yasir, a private candidate from district Faisalabad, and Muhammad Tahir of Govt High School Walla Chiniot were declared second and third with 887 and 885 marks, respectively.

In general group (girls), Sania Javaid and Fajar Javaid of Shari Public School No.1 Faisalabad stood first and second with 979 and 967 marks, respectively while Nimra Nazeer of Shibblee High School Gulberg Colony Faisalabad was declared third with
