RAWALPINDI: Rain in Rawalpindi city turned weather pleasant on Thursday giving relief to the residents from the prolonged heat wave conditions.

On Thursday, the city experienced better weather than Wednesday as the extended cloud cover provided a bit of respite to the citizens.

The Met Office Thursday informed that widespread rain and thundershowers with isolated heavy falls are expected in upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjoining areas during next 2-3 days.

According to Met Office, light to moderate rains are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Peshawar, Hazara division and Kashmir from August 4 to 6.

The prevailing hot/humid weather conditions since last few days have started subsiding in federal capital, Islamabad and Rawalpindi besides many other cities of Punjab.

The rain started mid-day in different areas of Rawalpindi on Thursday which turned the weather pleasant and decreased humidity. (APP)
