Aisam-Bopanna lose in first round of Legg Mason Championship

WASHINGTON: Pakistani tennis ace Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his Indian doubles partner Rohan Bopanna lost in the first round of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic, Geo News reported.

The Pak-India duo faced Mark Knowles from the Bahamas and Xavier Malisse of Belarus in the first round. The duo lost the first set 6-7 and even though they won the second set 7-6, they were outclassed in the third set 3-10. The duo was seeded fourth in the tournament and despite a better all round showing, their drawback was the inability to win more points on their opponent’s second serve.
