KARACHI: Rescue teams have recovered six more bodies from the debris of the building collapsed in Moosa Lane Lyari and the toll now stands at eighteen, Geo News reported.
Rescue teams are still looking for survivors trapped under the rubble on the third consecutive day Saturday.
With six more bodies, the death toll in Lyari building collapse has climbed to eighteen.
Deputy Commissioner South Mustafa Jamal Qazi has said that three owners of the building have been apprehended. Three surrounding buildings have also been evacuated, he added.
DC Qazi said two temporary camps have been set up for the evacuees of the said three buildings.
President Asif Ali Zardari has announced compensation for the affectees and the decision in this regard would be made soon, Qazi added.
