People support for anti polio drive termed inevitable

QUETTA: At least 14 cases of polio have been reported from Killa Abdullah and Pishin districts of Balochistan as the people of these areas unwillingness to get their children administered anti polio vaccine.

UNICEF Balochistan Media Consultant Sarwar Sudai told APP here Friday that representatives of UNICEF and Rotary International and other agencies involved in anti polio drive met with the notables of these areas to win their support for making anti polio drive a success.

"Unless the local people do not extend their support for polio campaign in their areas the polio cases would continue to appear", he said and added the meeting would result in improved support of the local notables and general public for polio drive to end the menace in their areas.
