50 Ramzan Dasterkhawan set up in Rwp Division

ISLAMABAD: As many as 50 Ramzan Dasterkhawn havebeen set up in Rawalpindi Division in assistance with the philanthropists to facilitate lower income people,Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Zahid Saeed said Saturday.

Presiding over a meeting, he said 25 Dastarkhawn have beenestablished in Rawalpindi district, 12 in Jhelum, 8 in Attock district and 5 in Chakwal district, according to a press release issued here.

Every Dastarkhawn was offering Sehr and Iftar from 100 to 300 poor people. He said one special price magistrate has been deployed at each Ramzan Sasta Bazaar to ensure observance of control rate.

District Coordination Officer (DCO) Rawalpindi,Saqib Zafar informed the meeting that the Dasterkhawns have been set up in Sadiqabad, Chandni chowk, Gulraiz Scheme, Pirvadhai, Dhoke Hameeda, Ganj Mandi, Dhoke Hassu, Bahria Town, Liaquat Bagh, GPO Chowk, Babu Mohalla, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital, Nawaz Sharif Park and Pindora.

DCOs of other districts also briefed the meeting about Ramzan Dasterkhawan being held in their respective districts.
