Three injured on resistance against dacoity

FAISALABAD: Three people sustained bullet injuries on putting up resistance against dacoity bid in a house at Gokhowal in jurisdiction of Millat Town police on Saturday.

According to police, Ishtiaq Ahmed along with his family was asleep in his house located in Gokhuwal area, when eight armed bandits stormed into the house.

The outlaws held the family hostage at gunpoint and looted Rs 20,000 and two cell phones.

However, on resistance, the criminals opened fire.

As a result, Ishtiaq Ahmed (40), Zulfiqar Ahmed (30) and Asif (20) sustained bullet injuries.

The injured were shifted to Allied Hospital by Rescue 1122.

Police were investigating.
