LAHORE: Many parts of the upper country including Lahore and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are receiving light and heavy rains periodically, Geo News reported Monday.

Rains in Punjab have decreased suffocation and lowered the temperature while water was pooled in many areas of Lahore including Nisbat Road, Bhati Chowk, Lakshmi Chowk, Davis Road and Kashmir Road, causing severe problems to the commuters.

In Lahore, four people lost their lives while seven others were hurt in roof collapse incidents in different areas.

The roof of a house in Baghbanpura collapsed that killed two girls, Erum and Bakhtawar while seven others were injured. The injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment.

According to the met department, rains have started in the upper part of the country as the new spell of monsoon rain has entered the country. The rain spell will continue for the next two days in Punjab and KP.
