DCO for stern action against hoarding, black marketing

LAHORE: The District administration has directed the Special Price Magistrates to deal the hoarders, profiteers and black marketers with iron hands to provide relief to the people in Ramazan.

DCO Ahad Cheema chairing a meeting on Tuesday directed to take stern action against the violators of price act creating shortage of essential items in Ramazan just to mint money.

Cheema said that no one would be allowed to raise prices of daily use items and to violate the official fixed price of essential items at markets and other Sasta Bazaars.

He directed the price control magistrates to keep check on the prices of all items whether their prices were officially fixed or not. However, he asked the magistrates to avoid fines against the traders in Ramazan and convince the shopkeepers to sale the items on reasonable rates. (APP)
