PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information and Inter-Provincial Coordination, Mian Iftikhar Hussein said on Tuesday that demand for provincial autonomy from our great Pakhtun leaders was meant to ameliorate the lot of the common man which he added with the grace of Allah Almighty was fulfilled under the leadership of ANP leader, Asfandyar Wali Khan.
This, he said, while talking to two-member delegation of UNDP led by analyst 18th amendment, Farrukh Moriani here. Secretary Administration and IPC, Hifzur Rahman was also present on this occasion.
Farrukh Moriani on this occasion offer support on behalf of UNDP for implementation of the 18th Constitutional amendment. He added that the UNDP wanted to start its pilot project from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as it had already done a lot in this regard.
The minister while welcoming the offer maintained that they were serious enough on implementation of the 18th Amendment as demand of provincial autonomy first was made by our leaders. He added that he had convened a joint meeting of all the administrative secretaries to look into the progress on 18th Constitutional amendment. (APP)
