ISLAMABAD: The government has extended revalidation deadline of old licenses from August 31 to September 30, 2011.

According to a press release the matter regarding old licenses revalidation issued by the Ministry of Interior by August 31,was reviewed in a meeting chaired by Senator A Rehman Malik, Minister for Interior.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Interior, Chairman NADRA and other relevant officials.

The meeting decided to extend revalidation deadline from August 31 to September 30, 2011.

All district level offices of NADRA will accept requests for revalidation.

Arms license holders have been requested to bring with them while visiting NADRA offices their original National Identity Card, original arms license and application form duly filled in.

The government licence fee has also been waived and only a nominal fee of Rs.500 will be charged. (APP)
