Sale of flags, bunting in full swing to celebrate Independence Day

ISLAMABAD: Sale of national flags, colourful bunting, banners and pictures of national heroes has witnessed a sharp increase to celebrate 64th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and zeal on August 14.

The vendors have set up stalls at almost every small and big markets especially G-9 Markaz, Aabpara, F-10, I-10 Markaz and Super Market in the federal capital where people from all walks of life especially the children are enthusiastically busy in purchasing flags, bunting and badges.

National songs are in the air which gives the message that the entire nation is united and tidy.

The national flag will be hoisted at the important buildings to celebrate the day with befitting manners. Sweats will be distributed among the poor.

The Administration has announced to award special prizes to those who decorate and illuminate their building at best.

The educational institutions will also conduct special programmes to mark 64th independence day. (APP)
