KARACHI: Increase in international gold prices further fueled the local prices of gold which witnessed a rise of Rs900 per tola to hit a new peak at Rs57,800, Geo News reported Thursday.
The gold rate of 10 grams shot up by Rs771 to Rs49542. The commodity's rate in the international market has seen a rise of 28 dollars to 1785 dollars per ounce.
President All Sindh Sarafa Association, Haji Haroon Rasheed Chand told Geo News that the international demand for gold was experiencing increase on a day-to-day basis which had pushed the international prices of the commodity to the present level.
