ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have nabbed 25 persons and recovered a total of 5.120 kilogram heroin, three kilogram hashish, three 30 bore pistols and two 12 bore guns from their possession, a police spokesman said here Thursday.

A police team headed by ASP Saddar and including SHO Golra police station arrested a person from Chungi No. 26 and recovered5.120 kilogram heroin from his possession. He was later identified as Badee ul Zaman s/o Fakhar ul Zaman resident of Babar Colony resident of Taxila district Rawalpindi.

This team also arrested Subhan Ullahand recovered 500 gram hashish.

Tarnol police arrested an accused Siddique for having 30 bore pistol while Industrial area police nabbed Waseem Anjum and Gul for having 12 bore gun and looted items worth Rs.5000 from their possession.

CIA police apprehended an accused Naeem for having 1.500-kilogram hashish and Saad Ali for possessing 140 gram hashish. CIA police arrested Khalid for having 600 gram hashish.

Koral police apprehended an accused of murder case Habib and also recovered murder tool 12 bore gun. Margallah police arrested Muhammad Zareen for having stolen mobile phone while Bhara Kahu police nabbed Hassan Akhtar and Habib Shakoor for having 30 bore pistol each.

Margallah and Shalimar police stations arrested 15 beggars during campaign against professional alm-seekers.

IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan have appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to intensify vigilance against suspects and anti-social elements. (APP)
