Six dead in Mirpurkhas roof collapse

MIRPURKHAS: A roof of a double storey house collapsed in Mirpurkhas, killing six people of a family and injuring four others, Geo News reported.

According to the police, a roof of a house collapsed during the heavy rainfall in Bhan Singhabad area of Mirpurkhas. Two people died on the spot while eight others were trapped in the debris.

During the rescue operation, four injured people were recovered from the rubble while four dead bodies were also taken out.

Deceased also included two kids and three women.

DCO Mirpurkhas Ghulam Hussain Memon announced to Rs 1 Lakh compensation for the heirs of the victims.
