LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Friday urged the British government to fulfill its responsibility towards providing protection to the life and property of Pakistanis living in UK, Geo News reported.

In a statement issued here, the Chief Minister expressed profound grief over the loss of precious lives of three Pakistanis in the recent riots in London. He termed the incident unfortunate and highly condemnable.

Shahbaz demanded that the murderers of the three Pakistanis be unearthed and awarded exemplary punishment. "The Federal Government of Pakistan should also come forward to play its due role in this regard," he added.

The Punjab Chief Minister expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for their fortitude.
