FAISALABAD: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Sardar Muhammad Asif Khan has ordered the traffic wardens to conduct challans of violators of traffic rules and regulations in addition to impounding vehicles of sheer violators on the eve of Independence Day.
According to a spokesman of City Traffic Police, the CTO asked the people to prohibit their under age children from using motorbikes and other vehicle because driving of under age children was not only an utter violation of traffic rules and regulations but it also causes waste of precious human lives and properties.
The CTO also warned that strict action would be taken against those found involved in one-wheeling and in using motorcycles without silencers or removing its inner parts.
The traffic police will not tolerate any excuse if wheelie was caught red handed on Independence Day; the spokesman said and requested for not committing one-wheeling. Otherwise, not only cases would be registered against the violators, but they would be sent behind the bars for 72 hours along with their vehicle, he added.
