Taliban commander arrested from Karachi

KARACHI: A key Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander, Fazal Mehmood, has been arrested from the Keemari area of the city by CID police, Geo News reported Tuesday.

SSP CID, Fayaz Khan said Fazal Mehmood was a close aide of Baitullah Mehsud and Fiaz Muhammed. During interrogation Fazal Mehmood revealed that a few years ago Baitullah Mehsud had spent days at his residence while he was under medical treatment.

Fazal Mehmood was involved in gathering funds for the Taliban.
