PESHAWAR: Firing in Shaheen Bazar area of Peshawar killed five persons including three children, police said on Tuesday.
According to the Kotwali police station unknown men entered into a house located in Noorul Islam Mohalla of Shaheen Bazar and opened fire that killed a man Walid Amjid, his wife Sumera and three children Guffran, Fahad and Palwasha.
Police said the family was vey poor and living in apartment at 2nd floor of the building in Shaheen Bazar's Mohalla Noor Islam.
The reason of the incident is still unknown, local police was in dilemma, first they declared the multiple murder as suicide saying father after killing his wife and children committed suicide however later it change its previous stance and informed media that police was investigating the case to ascertain the real motive behind the killing.
In yet another incident eight members of a family killed early Tuesday morning. The dead includes two females and a childe. Police said the Afghan refugees' family had dispute with their son in law as he had threatened to kill his father in law over the family dispute.
Khazana police station in which jurisdiction the incident occurred said the same person who had threatened the family came early morning to the residence of his father in law and opened in discriminate firing that resulted killing of eight persons on the spot.Police after registering the case started investigation.
